About City Lumber Home Center
City Lumber Co has always been a family owned business. What began with the Ledbetter's in 1974, transitioned to the Strobel's in 1986. In June 2010, the Strobel's sold the business to their daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Jason Terry. Gina worked in the business after college as an outside sales person and then managed the store in Hampton Cove when it first opened. After leaving the business to pursue other opportunities, her husband Jason came to work in the fall of 2001. Jason spent 9 years in financial sales and management before coming to City Lumber as the VP of Finance and Sales.
Over the past 9 years, Jason has built a staff of industry all stars within the area and significantly broadened the company's scope of business. What began as a simple lumber yard has grown into a full service Home Center offering cabinets, windows, doors and more! A new showroom has been built at the Bob Wallace location highlighting our specialty products while providing a comfortable area for builders, remodelers and individuals to see the items and spend time with our designers and sales team to ensure your project is just like you dreamed! The Hampton Cove store has also added a showroom for cabinets, vanities, windows and doors and is undergoing a face lift throughout the rest of the store.
Our most significant move is to rebrand ourselves as City Lumber Home Center to better represent what it is we have become. Please take time to visit us.
Sales Force
7 men with over 120 years of combined experience in the building materials industry. Whether you are looking for a specific product to finish a job or have a set of plans that you need a takeoff on, we have the person for the job.
Mitzi Lipscomb is our millwork expert! She brings a wealth of knowledge not only on products, but the entire building process as well. She has over 20 years of experience and you will love how she takes care of your job, just like it was her own.
John Madagan handles our cabinet design department and can do wonders with anything from new construction, to remodeling, to just re-facing old cabinets.
Feel free to visit our showroom at the Bob Wallace location to find the perfect window, door, column, siding, stair parts, skylights or whatever else you may need for your home. If you can dream it we can build it. Our Hampton Cove showroom has windows for new construction or remodeling, furniture grade vanities, interior and exterior doors and many other new things to help you with your projects!
Lumber Yard
Our lumber yard is staffed with an experienced crew of over 30 drivers, stockers, operators and management. We run 16 different trucks to handle all sizes of loads. We maintain an inventory of lumber, roofing, insulation, felt, housewrap, sheetrock, rebar, block, siding and more to fill all your needs.

Truss Shop

Let one of our designers help you decide which product(s) will work best with your project. We offer manufactured roof and floor trusses, wall panels, open web floors, I-joists, LVL beams and Rimboard to meet your needs. All products that we manufacture are considered Green and help us maintain our status as a Certified Green Dealer.
Hampton Cove Store
After a decade and a half, this store is still changing with the times and serving the community with professional knowledgeable advice. As Hampton Cove has grown and changed so have we. What was once a contractor store has now become more of a niche store! We specialize in power tools, landscaping stone, bulk mulch and sand, products for all types of remodeling, a equipment rental and Lucite paint by PPG.
